- Support Administration of Pension and 401(k) Plans: Partner with other team members to ensure accurate retirement plan administration and processes in compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements; Perform and review pension benefit calculations.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with benefit vendors and partners to ensure efficient and effective service delivery that aligns with our goals and meets our employees' needs.
- Ensure Compliance: Help to prepare and submit required filings for defined compensation and defined benefit plans; Manage documentation, reporting, and maintain accurate records; Assist with audit-related processes.
- Engage Employees: Develop and conduct educational live sessions, webinars and materials to boost employee engagement and understanding of available benefits.
- Benefits Inquiry Management: Act as the primary point of contact for employees' benefit questions, providing exemplary support and advice.
- Market Research & Trends Analysis: Stay updated on market trends and best practices in benefits to ensure our offerings remain competitive and meet employee expectations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data analytics to produce insights, track key performance metrics and support strategic decisions regarding retirement programs.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, actuarial science, statistics or related field emphasizing strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- 3+ years of experience in pension or 401(k) administration. Pension experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, including pivot tables and data visualization).
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively presenting complex benefits information.
- In-depth understanding of retirement compliance and regulatory standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

- This role is hybrid and based in Hearst's Charlotte, NC office.
