Job Description:Essential Job Functions
  • Owns daily communication with customers and informs customer of any shipment issues, follows through to resolution
  • Manage daily internal and external communication to customers via phone and email
  • Full management of customers from an account management standpoint including but not limited to; shipment quoting, carrier selection, order entry, accuracy of shipment details, scheduling of order pickups with carriers, managing issue resolution, AR collection, and continual process improvement as your book of business grows
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to our customers to meet their shipping and logistics needs utilizing Hub Group's multimodal offerings
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree preferred, High school diploma required
  • Experience in the transportation industry is preferred but not required
  • Willingness to adapt to the ever-changing industry and take on additional responsibilities as the department continues to grow and new processes are put into place
  • Able to multi-task, with a high attention for detail
  • Able to problem solve and use analytical skills is a must
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to communicate and interface effectively with customers, carriers and team members in a manner that consistently produces results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
