If you're ready for growth and impact, apply now!ResponsibilitiesDue to continued growth, Enercon's West Coast Nuclear Service Group is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join the team onsite at Diablo Canyon in San Luis Obispo County, CA.
  • Understanding roles played by other disciplines on the project and possessing the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
  • Participating in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
  • Preparing design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates.
  • Managing budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
  • Preparing electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment.
  • Devising new approaches to technical problems.
  • Traveling and participating in field installation, checkout, and start-up.
  • Directing and overseeing routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintaining quality standards of all assigned projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering design.
  • Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred.
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desired.
  • Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.
