We welcome individuals who not only have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of veterinary medicine but also have a wealth of experience in the areas of emergency and critical care. The skilled RVT should be comfortable with all duties of the caretakers and veterinary assistants as well as the following duties:
  • drug calculations (including CRI) and set up
  • controlled drug handling
  • anesthesia of critically ill patients
  • assisting in surgery and endoscopy procedures
  • chest tube care
  • caring for post-operative patients
  • monitoring and performing treatments for critically ill patients
  • managing patients on oxygen
  • blood product administration
  • familiar with CPR resuscitation for animals
  • client education
  • critical care typical in an ICU / ER setting
We appreciate individuals who are willing to share their knowledge with the staff and play an active role in training those who are not yet as experienced. An RVT should possess an active California State license, have a high school diploma or G.E.D., and have a minimum 2 years of experience in the field.We offer competitive pay and benefits including:
