- Execute a range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and installation, according to project specifications and blueprints
- Measure and mark materials with precision, ensuring accurate cuts and placements.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other wooden components securely and in a level and plumb manner.
- Diagnose and repair damaged or deteriorating wooden structures and components, including roofs, floors, and walls.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked, as well as any necessary permits or inspections.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of construction and safety regulations.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license
- Heavy lifting of at least 55 lbs
