Offer DescriptionIn accordance with the provisions of Articles, 5.º, 10.º-B, 15.º, 15.º-A, 17.º and 29.º-B of the Career Statute for Higher Polytechnic Teaching Staff (ECPDESP), approved by Decree-Law No. 185/81, of 1 of July, March, and other applicable legal provisions, it becomes public that, by my order, on the 24 th april, 2024, a documentary job competition is opened for a period of 30 working days, starting from the date of the publication of this notice at Diário da República, to occupy a planned and unoccupied job position on the staff map of the School of Health of Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ESS|P.PORTO), in the career of teaching staff in higher polytechnic education, in the category of adjunct professor, in the technical-scientific area of Environmental Health - Disciplinary area of Hygiene and Environmental Health, in the form of an employment contract in public service for an indefinite period.RequirementsResearch Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsScope of recruitment - Cumulative requirements for admission to the job opening competition:a) Hold the requirements provided for in points b) to e) of No. 1 of article 17.º of the General Labor Law in Public Service (LTFP), approved by Law No. 35/2014, of 20 of June, with due updates;b) Hold a doctoral degree or specialist title, under the terms of the Decree-Law No. 206/2009, of 31 of August, in the area or similar area to the one for which this competition is open, as prescribed by Article 17th of ECPDESP. A candidate is considered to be approved based on absolute merit if he/she is approved by an absolute majority of the voting jury members, with a favorable vote given whenever a jury member has assigned a score equal to or higher than 50, based on the detailed selection and ranking criteria.2 Candidates approved based on absolute merit will be ranked based on the scores obtained according to the detailed selection and ranking criteria.3. The dimensions of the selection and ranking criteria are as follows:a) Pedagogical Dimension - 45%b) Technical-Scientific and Professional Dimension - 40%c) Dimension of Other Relevant Activities for the Institution -15%3 Pedagogical Dimension Parameters (45%):3.1 Experience dedicated to teaching in the area for which the competition is open (65%):Relevant experience for the area for which a call for applications is made as a full-time teacher or equivalent in higher education; Teaching of Curricular Units in Problem Base Learning methodology in the scientific area for which the competition is open, in Higher Education; Teaching of Curricular Units in the scientific area for which the competition is open, in Higher Education.3.2 Development of teaching material (25%):Publication of texts to support learning in the area for which the competition is open; Didactic-pedagogical texts or digital materials covering all or part of the contents of a curricular unit / course in the subject of the competition.3.3 Pedagogical and technical training for teaching activity in higher education in the area for which the competition is open and participation in other relevant educational activities (10%):Training course in pedagogy, education or health that is relevant to the teaching-learning process in the area for which the competition is open; Continuous training; Participation in International Mobility Programs; and other pedagogical activities with relevance.4 Parameters of the Technical, Scientific and Professional Dimension (40%):4.1 Academic qualification (35%):Access qualification: Doctor degree with a dissertation theme relevant to the area for which the competition is open or the title of specialist in the area for which the competition is open. Degree in Environmental Health; Master's degree with a dissertation theme relevant to the area for which the competition is open; Other Graduation and / or Masters, or aggregation, or equivalent.4.2 Scientific production (30%):Author or co-author of scientific articles in a journal that integrates one of the indexes of the Web of Science Core Collection - Clarivate Analytics and that has an Impact Factor; Author or co-author of scientific articles in other journals with scientific arbitration; Author or co-author of books, full chapters in technical-scientific books or full chapters in conference proceedings; Author or co-author of abstracts in conference proceedings or abstracts published in indexed or peer-reviewed journals.4.3 Professional Experience (10%):Professional Experience relevant to the area for which the competition is open. Not accumulate to Teaching experience.4.4 Dynamization, intervention, and recognition in technical-scientific activities (10%):Participation in funded research projects resulting from calls for tenders and/or obtaining research grants; Integrated member of an R&D center accredited by FCT; Reviewer/editor of scientific articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection - Clarivate Analytics and have an Impact Factor; Member of editorial/scientific board of journals that indexed in Web of Science Core Collection indexes - Clarivate Analytics and have an Impact Factor; Teacher in short technical/scientific courses, not integrated in the ungraduated level; Member of scientific commissions of national or international technical-scientific events; Author or co-author of oral or poster communications, at a national or international, academic or professional conferences; Author or co-author of publications that have received a Scientific Award; Chair in technical and scientific events at national or international level.4.5 Scientific Supervision and participation in juries of academic exams (15%):Supervision or co-supervision of completed doctoral theses; Supervision or co-supervision of Master's Dissertation / Project / Final report of a completed Master's Internship; Supervision or co-supervision of completed degree projects; Participation in doctoral thesis panels; Participation in master thesis panels; Participation in degree projects panels; Participation in specialist title juries.4.6 Parameters of the Dimension of Other Relevant Activities for the Institution (15%):4.6.1 Top and middle management in statutory organic structures in higher education (70%):Rector or Vice-Rector/President or Vice-President/Director or Deputy Director of a Higher Education Institution, including Faculty, Organic Unit and /or School; President or Vice-President of the scientific or pedagogical council in higher education; President/vice-president, coordinator/vice-coordinator or director/vice-director of department, technical-scientific area, research center and /or other statutory organic structure in higher education; Coordinator/vice-coordinator of study cycle in higher education; Member of statutory organic structures in higher education; Management position or activities in public or privative institutions; Coordinator or Co-coordinator of Curricular Units in the Teaching-Learning methodology PBL and/or other methodologies, within Study Cycles in the field for which the competition was opened, in higher Education; Management and Supervision of Curricular Internships in the field for which the competition is open, in Higher Education; Participation in internal or external institutional commissions.4.6.2 Member of contest juries, event organization and other relevant activities (30%):Member of juries for the recruitment of teaching staff within the statutes of higher education teaching careers, in any title; Member of juries for the recruitment of non-teaching staff (including paid internships) or research fellows; Member of the organizing committee of congresses, seminars, short courses or other technical-scientific and pedagogical events; Other relevant organizational activities for the Higher Education Institution.5 The Jury may promote public hearings, under equal circumstances for all candidates, in accordance with the provisions of point b) of No. 4 of article 23th of ECPDESP.The details of the selection and ranking criteria can be found at:and is an integral part of this Notice.Selection processThe final classification attributed individually by each member of the Jury, will be obtained through the following formula: NFEJ = 0,45*AP+0,40*ATCP+0,15*AO, where NFEJ corresponds to the final grade of the Jury member; AP = corresponds to the final grade of the Jury member, ATCP = sum of the scores attributed to the candidate in the component referring to Technical-Scientific and Professional Activity; AO = sum of the scores attributed to the candidate in the component related to Organizational Activity.Website for additional job detailsWork Location(s)Number of offers available 1 Company/Institute Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico do Porto Country Portugal State/Province Porto City Porto Postal Code 4200-072 Street RUA DR.
