Salary: $35-$55 HourlyGrowing Boutique Real Estate organization seeks an Accountant / Office Manager to join their Team.Responsibilities:
- Maintain, and reconcile bank accounts, interact with commercial bank personnel as needed.
- Collaborate with external Bookkeeper & Accountants
- Monitor cash positions of all properties and make distributions as directed.
- Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and tax returns.
- Produce quarterly budget variance, Capex and I&E reports for distribution to Partners.
- Ensure invoices are accurate, approved, and paid timely.
- Keep financial records and reports for Cap Ex projects.
- Monitor amortization schedules to verify the accuracy of mortgage payments.
- Track and reconcile escrowed mortgage and real estate tax payments.
- Make and monitor property tax, water, sewer, and all other utility payments.
- Collect and record W9 forms from new vendors.
- Open utility account for vacant apartments after receiving move-out report.
- Close utility accounts after tenants move in.
- Record and monitor all rent payments received by check or online.
- Open security deposit accounts for new tenants.
- Monitor security deposit increases on lease renewals and reconcile.
- Return security deposits to vacated tenants upon request from Leasing and close Security deposit accounts.
- Maintain corporate books.
- Assist with Special Projects or other requests.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years' relevant industry experience
- Strong Excel Skills & tech savvy.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks a plus
