Requisition Number4109Job TitleBeverage SupervisorTypeFull TimeJob DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition: Beverage SupervisorDepartment: Food and BeverageJob Summary: Monitors the operation of all beverage outlets to ensure compliance with all standards and procedures established by the Food and Beverage Department as well as applicable health and regulatory standards and procedures.Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to): * Assists with leading the Beverage unit in identifying, evaluating, and developing strategies to enhance revenue, increase profitability, and increase guest satisfaction with the unit's services and facilities.
  • Implements customer service standards throughout the Beverage unit, monitors the team members of the Beverage unit to assure they provide service in accordance with the standards, and takes action to correct deficiencies.
  • Conducts walk-through and visually inspects all service areas to insure those areas are secured and in proper condition.
  • Understands financial reports and applies the information in a timely and practical fashion to improve the operation.
  • Exercises sound judgment in handling guest and team member concerns.
  • Anticipates health and safety hazards and works with appropriate staff to ensure compliance.
  • Monitors staffing levels for all outlets and makes adjustments according to business levels and conditions.
  • Supervises and trains direct reports and works collaboratively with them to design professional development plan that supports their continuous learning.
  • Interviews and makes recommendations for hire.
  • Reviews and approves evaluations for line staff.
  • Recommends and/or enforces disciplinary measures.
  • Delivers or assists with delivery of training programs.
  • Maintains constant awareness of service promotions and events to properly inform team members and guests.
  • Serves as a role model by providing courteous service and presenting a clean and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Provides backup/relief support for all positions, as necessary.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of beverage service, spirits, and wine products.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Skill in working courteously with the public as well as developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations pertaining to the position.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to handle potentially difficult situations.
  • Ability to provide superb team leadership/development and partnering ability.
  • Ability to deliver effective training programs.
  • Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds at one time, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively deploy resources.
Minimum Qualifications: * Must be at least 21 years of age AND two (2) years experience in a related field, including one (1) year in a lead or supervisory position AND successfully pass a test that demonstrates sufficient knowledge of beverage service and products.
  • Computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, responsiveness, and creativity.
  • Demonstrated track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • Must obtain valid Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler cards within three (3) months of employment.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
Preferred Qualifications: * High school or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
