- Read and interpret AV systems drawings.
- Gather programming requirements.
- Provide control system design and review audio visual design.
- Produce new modules and interfaces.
- Create technical standards, processes and procedures recommendations to be provided to the Government.
- Provide programming and technical direction to Contractor project team when needed.
- Control System programming design to meet requirements and system capabilities.
- User Interface programming to meet requirements and system capabilities.
- Install control programs and touch panel design onsite, offsite, and remotely in physical systems.
- Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code.
- Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Support manufactures and customers with problem resolution as needed.
- Travel to various job sites, as required.
- Configure VTC equipment for compliance with government standards.
- Configure equipment for the integration of Microsoft Team into existing conference rooms.
- Work with various VTC bridge operators when requirements change.
- Technical writing of graphical / textual enduser operation guides for VTC and Teams operation.
- Submit RMA requests to manufacturers for repair and/or replacement.
- Removal, shipping, receiving and installation of RMA'd equipment.
- Technical support of user's computers to make them compliant with conference room A/V systems.
- Create technical wiring diagrams for A/V systems as needed.
- Wire conference rooms and racks as needed.
- Troubleshoot A/V systems to determine root cause of failures to reduce downtime.
- Work with other trades when their work overlaps ours.
- Provide meeting support for customer conference rooms.
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer programming or related field, or experience in lieu of a degree
- A minimum of 3 years of providing technical support of AV systems related to Video Teleconferencing, control rooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms
- Must have experience in AMX control system programming experience and control system design (Crestron/AMX)
- Knowledge and understanding programming languages along with uploading and downloading software in embedded systems
- Understanding of DSP programming with knowledge of testing and calibrating equipment
- Occasional travel will be required
- Minimum of five (5) years with control systems, videoconferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration
- Harman Certified Control Professional Programming
- Crestron Certified Programmer
- CTS or CTSD certification
- Java SE 8 Programmer Certification
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- The employee will be required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.) may be required
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is very loud where ear protection is necessary.
