- Create a sales plan to achieve targets that include hiring a salesforce, developing sales budgets, forecasting, customer products, and promotions introduction.
- Work with the finance team to develop departmental quarterly budgets.
- Collaborate with the Management team to build and develop the white-label sales department.
- Develop KPIs and train sales staff to be productive and accountable for delivering results.
- Leverage industry knowledge to identify potential opportunities for brand collaborations.
- Utilize existing networks and contacts to drive new business opportunities and expand the current client base.
- Identify and prospect potential clients, build relationships, and generate new business opportunities through various channels; including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Work with management to develop required training for sales staff
- Facilitate initial contact with clients, needs assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and contract finalization until the sales department is established.
- Utilizing experience and industry-driven data points to study the marketplace and competition.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify areas for growth. Reporting on strategic shifts in accounts and tactical budgets.
- Effectively communicating value propositions through presentations and proposals.
- Collaborating with the executive team to refine sales strategies based on feedback and market dynamics.
- Meet with the sales team regularly to track actuals to budgets and identify when sales are on/off track communicate these targets to the Finance department.
- Collaborate with clients to strategize to meet or exceed their brand's priority and goal expectations.
- Collaborate with existing brands to build successful partnerships and enhance Alchemy 29's market presence.
- Prepare and lead presentations for potential clients.
- Work with local farmers to procure products for brands.
- Minimum three years experience in a senior sales leadership role within the legal cannabis industry.
- Typing 40 WPM (test required)
- PC Based.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of METRC and the company may provide training for other inventory-related software as needed.
- Experience in a start-up environment (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in working with existing brands and achieving significant market shares.
- Established a book of business with positive client relationships.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
