Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly motivated “ Software Engineer in smart energy solutions ” to join a team of future shapers. The candidate will work in the field of Smart Energy technologies, supporting the R&D team in developing innovative solutions in the domain, addressing the needs of System Operators, Energy Retailers and other stakeholders. As a software engineer, the candidate will work in a small group while being versatile and independent and will tackle innovative research projects funded by the European Commission and national research frameworks. Responsibilities: Develop, test, deliver and maintain software applications for the energy domain that will be hosted on cloud or edge environments Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Collaborate with data scientists, energy researchers and software engineers of different seniority levels in the context of collaborative research and innovation projects Requirements: MSc in computer science, software engineering, or a related field Experience in developing software using OOP (e.g. JAVA, python, C++) Knowledge of web development, databases, and web services Experience in containerization technologies (e.g. Docker/Podman, Kubernetes) Experience with version control systems (i.e. Git) Familiarity with Linux shell A willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks and engage in software solutions in the energy domain A positive attitude, excellent communication/teamwork abilities and a passion for coding Fluency in English Desired Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab-CI) Knowledge of workflow management tools (e.g. Argo, Kubeflow) Familiarity with smart energy domain Benefits: INTRACOM TELECOM provides an excellent working environment which encourages team spirit, cooperation and continuous learning, in which the career prospects depend on each employee’s performance.
