Applications are invited for the position of Renal Registrars for next year commencing in February and/or August 2024. The Department of Medicine offer supportive working conditions and are committed to excellent teaching.Hawke’s Bay Hospital is a 400 bed hospital providing acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region. We have most major medical and surgical subspecialties on site (except cardiothoracic and neurosurgery), as well as paediatrics and O&G. We are well supported by a strong regional ICU team. We have strengthening Primary and Community health services and an increasingly integrated approach to health and health care.We are accredited for twelve months of Nephrology Advanced Training, and welcome applications from trainees around the country. You will be working with a team of four Renal Physicians, and part of a strong multi-disciplinary team. You will be involved in inpatient renal medicine, community dialysis, and outpatient clinics managing Chronic Kidney Disease, Transplant, and Dialysis.As a regional hospital, your after hours work will be in Acute General Medicine, and there is also good opportunity to combine Nephrology and General Medicine Advanced Training rotations for dual trainees.
