The first application review date will be 5/15/2024.Key Responsibilities:40%Plans and develops new programs and curriculum, and adjusts existing courses and curriculum in a continuing education environment.- Evaluates prospective program partnerships.20%Provides presentation or instruction of course or program.10%Plans and schedules course offerings; identifies course topics.10%Facilitates and supports special program events for themselves and others.10%May serve as a work leader. May provide training or mentoring to instructors.5%Develops, prepares and reconciles budget for program.5%Actively participates in long-range strategic planning for community educational programs.Requirements:
- Associate degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Continuing education in related field required.
- Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.
- Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures.
- Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
- Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs.
- Thorough knowledge of current community educational programs and trends.
- Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations / courses to meet organizational needs.
- Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university level.
- Must possess valid California Driver's License to drive a County or University vehicle. Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability damage insurance on vehicle used is required. Reimbursement of job-related travel will be reimbursed according to University policies.

- Must comply with regulatory agency reporting requirements (California's Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act).
- Possession of building master keys for access to residences, offices, or other facilities.
- Travel including travel outside normal business hours may be requested. Local travel, to community partner sites.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work as needed, usually on short notice to meet operational needs may be requested.
