Resident Advisor

• Monitor residents during sleeping hours to ensure their safety.
• Monitors the building with a focus on resident safety.
• Participates in case management staff meetings and attends required training.
• Accurately and comprehensively documents case records with information regarding interactions and case plan updates
• Participates in crisis management
• Supervises youth as they self-administer prescribed or over the counter medication.
• Monitors resident activities within the building to ensure a safe and healthy living environment
• Performs tasks needed in maintaining a clean work environment
• Works with individual residents and escorts them to activities as needed
• Manages and administers shift petty cash
• Assists as needed with fundraising affairs and special events which may be conducted outside the employee’s normal work schedule.
• Expected to be involved in food preparation steps to ensure residents receive 3 meals a day.
• Required to assist residents and agency with food shopping for individual and site needs.
• Required to check company e-mail daily.
• All other duties assigned by management staff

• A bachelor’s degree in social work, human service or related field preferred
• Experience working with clients with mental health diagnoses,
• Excellent assessment and judgment capacities
• Valid New Jersey drivers’ license with an insurable driving record
