- Develop and achieve departmental plans aligned with Sun Design's targets and vision
- Meet company sales goals and ensure client satisfaction
- Analyze market conditions and develop quarterly work plans
- Participate in weekly leadership team meetings and contribute to key decisions
- Maintain reliable projections of sales team performance
- Liaise with marketing, communications, estimating/purchasing, design, and production departments
- Develop and implement plans for structural and volume changes
- Ensure timely dissemination of job debriefs and job costing feedback
- Serve on the Board of Advisors and provide a sales perspective
- Attract, retain, motivate, coach, and develop sales team members
- Conduct Weekly Information Meetings (WIMs) and provide ongoing coaching and training
- Evaluate sales staff performance, set goals, and implement improvement programs
- Develop and maintain compensation plans
- Facilitate weekly departmental sales meetings and conduct quarterly and annual reviews
- Schedule bi-annual High Involvement Planning (HIP) meetings
- Develop goals, quotas, and strategies for sales team members
- Manage and hold team accountable to Sales Funnel
- Monitor and forecast sales and closing projections
- Review backlog for accuracy and likelihood to close regularly
- Manage timelines and schedules throughout the sales process
- Become a subject matter expert in the DMV (DC, Maryland & Virginia) market
- Coordinate with the Director of First Impressions (DOFI) for consistent reporting
- 7+ years of sales leadership experience
- 3+ years of in-home sales experience
- Proficient in recruiting, training, and retention of sales staff
- Tech savvy – Microsoft Suite, Hubspot CRM, and Buildertrend software experience a plus
- Familiarity with architectural design-build, remodeling, or home improvement preferred
- Knowledge of design, building materials, construction methods, engineering disciplines, and building costs/codes a plus
- Sandler Sales experience preferred

- On-target earnings of $140k-$190k
