- Must present transcripts of highest level of education within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Must provide own transportation to various locations. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.

- Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within thirty (30) days of hire and yearly thereafter.
- Must pass a background check, which includes employee paid fingerprinting.
- Must hold current, unencumbered Washington State nursing license: LPN or RN, RN preferred. Copy of license must be provided.
- One year current bedside care experience within the past three years in either long term care, geriatrics or medically fragile is required; previous long term care desired.
- Must be willing to update skills and procedures to those currently dictated by the Washington codes directing Nursing Assistant Certification Program.
- Must meet all health care facility employee health requirements.
- Must be currently certified in CPR/First Aid and have a current TB test.
- Must take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Must attend in-service trainings or other meetings as required, as well as attend any training as directed by management.
- Evidence of ability to assess and correct issues involving safety.
- Evidence of ability to establish and maintain a tactful, cooperative and effective relationship with students, parents, staff, fellow employees and management.
- Evidence of ability to approach assigned work in a professional manner, working toward the common goal of teamwork, pride in service delivery and continuous improvement
- Must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language to communicate verbally and in writing with students, parents, district staff members and other concerned people regarding all aspects of their job related activities.
- Must be able to use basic computer programs to maintain records, enter timecard information and read and respond to email.
- Evidence of positive recommendations and performance evaluations; excellent communication skills.
- Evidence of excellent attendance, punctuality, dependability; evidence of ability to be self-starter and self-disciplined.
- Assist the nurse educators in the clinical rotation and the classroom skills lab.
- Work with nurse educators in the planning and tracking of students in their clinical rotation.
- Report student observations, promptly bringing any significant issues to the attention of the nurse educators.
- Maintain complete and legible records of evaluation/observation of each student throughout the clinical internship.
- Assist in supervision and control of students in order to promote a safe, orderly and positive learning environment.
- Perform all duties in the position within the scope of the Kennewick School District policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by the nurse educators.
- Mobility: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, push or pull 75 lbs, sit, kneel and crouch, twist and bend, use hands frequently to type, finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arm.
- Sense: The employee is required to talk/hear conversations and other sounds. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. The employee is required to taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting: The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs. pounds; must also be able to lift overhead. The employee may be required to physically move quickly in an emergency or while performing student supervision duties.
- Physical Hazards: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extremes in temperature and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving from building to building. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.
