Number of subordinates with direct/indirect referral: 0Essential Functions
- Environmental & Waste Management
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings, to include: air emissions, Tier II, Toxics Release Inventory (TRI), biennial hazardous waste, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) statements, Pollution Prevention Planning (PPP), stormwater No Exposure certification, wastewater discharge monitoringLead waste reduction projects in support of company's Circular for Zero initiatives
- Prepare and submit permit applications/amendments as necessary: air emissions permit, Limited permit (neutralization systems), Industrial Discharge permit (wastewater), Spill Prevention, Control, & Countermeasure (SPCC) plan
- Track and report site utility usage and waste generation to site management and external stakeholders
- Manage waste disposal vendor services and contracts
- Coordinate spill response training and drills; maintain associated records
- Shared Functions
- Monitor legislative requirements and update SOPs as necessary to ensure compliance
- Conduct EHS Management of Change assessments to identify impacts or risks
- Support continuous improvement of EHS programs, management systems, and compliance documentatio
- Coordinate with external contractors and consultants as necessary to accomplish tasks
- Able to maintain First Aid/CPR, RCRA, DoT, HAZWOPER and other role-specific training and certifications
- Available on call as required
- Serve as back up for EHS Technician functions
- Health & Safety
- Manage the safety team and support audits of team members respective areas
- Lead incident investigations as a site Super User of EHS Porta
- Evaluate and approve usage of new chemicals and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Coordinate maintenance of fire suppression systems with vendors and conduct associated site drills
- Manage Worker's Compensation claims/cases and maintain logs as required by OSHA
- Serve as site Radiation Safety Officer
- Alternate Site Security Officer to administer access control systems (card access, biometrics, key control)
- Shared Functions

- Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes

- Education and Certifications:
- Associates' degree (or equivalent) in a technical field (biology, chemistry, environmental science, engineering) and three years of experience in a manufacturing, healthcare or laboratory environment or Bachelor's degree with one year related experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and time management skills
- The individual must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new skills accurately
- Strong personal integrity and compliance focus
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret SDS and MSDS Understanding of cGMP requirements preferred
- Prior waste handling experience with RCRA and DOT certification preferred
