- Act with complete knowledge of foreign trade and customs regulations for import, export, and warehouse transactions to ensure all documentation & procedures required before and during customs operations.
- Project creation and management to continuously evaluate and streamline customs compliance processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate customs-related risks, such as penalties, fines, and delays in operations. Proactively identify areas of non-compliance and take corrective actions.
- Lead the process for setting up customs tariff, preferential and non-preferential origin, customs valuation and lead external AEO, ISO 9001 (for all departments), ISO 27001 (for Physical Distribution), postponed customs audits and internal audits with related parties.
- Resolve customs-related issues or disputes, in collaboration with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners. Develop strategies to minimize disruptions to supply chain operations.
- Provide training and support to internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, on customs compliance requirements and procedures. Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Leading products’ conformity documentations, HS Codes, tax ratios in the system to follow up and report it to global partners.
- Communicating with global partners to supervise the performance and KPI management for customs related transactions. Budget management of various expenses and costs related to imports and exports (including int. invoices, taxes, and all domestic costs), budget preparation and follow up.
- Manage the performance and KPI for customs related transactions of international/local vendors and maintain relationships between customs brokers & consultants.
- Authorization & decision management of additional customs processes (Interaction with Customs Authorities, External Audit Management, Manage Customs Local Procedures, Archiving Process).

- University Degree.
- Validated experience in Foreign Trade or Customs departments of multinational companies or managerial experience in customs broker companies/customs authority.
- Project management capability.
- Fluency in Turkish and English languages (both written and spoken).
- Excellent command of MS Office applications.
- Strategic and analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work independently with focus across multiple tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve group goals and empower people to work together to accomplish business results.
