Location: West Caldwell, NJAbout Us:We are currently seeking an Applications/Technical Electrical Engineer to join and strengthen our North American engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded engineer to support our engineering efforts and collaborate closely with our field sales force.Role Overview:As an integral part of our team, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge and experience in circuit protection applications to contribute to our mission. The ideal candidate is someone deeply entrenched in the electrical power industry with a robust understanding of circuit protection requirements, design, and engineering project management processes.Key Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.5-10 years’ experience in the Circuit Protection field.Technical expertise in circuit protection technology and design, with a focus on products such as converters, inverters, drives, substations, capacitor filter & harmonic banks, traction AC & DC systems, transformer protection, MCCs, distribution switchgear, and applications in solar, wind, energy storage, and EVs.Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSpice, MATLAB, ETAP for DC Arc Flash analysis and coordination study.Ability to interpret electro-technical drawings and designs.Experience in power electronics and power systems.Hands-on approach to solving circuit protection diagrams and offering technical and commercial proposals.Advanced technical skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and relate technical explanations to commercial value.Knowledgeable in industry standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC, etc.) and adaptable to evolving technologies and industry requirements.Exceptional communication skills across multiple platforms (verbal, written, face-to-face, and telephone).Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Must be willing to travel within North America, including Canada, US and/or Mexico; approximately 1 week quarterly (client visits and trade shows)Bilingual (Spanish) is considered a plus.Responsibilities:Cultivate new accounts through networking, research, and strategic call scheduling.Develop and present technical presentations to current and potential customers.Maintain and enhance relationships with a customer base including electrical OEM’s, design offices, outside representatives, and distribution networks.Lead and motivate a team in developing and utilizing new technologies, setting development goals, and conducting performance evaluations.Why Join Us:This position offers the chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative team, driving technological advancements in the circuit protection field.
