The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Middle School Teacher to join our team, with a specific focus on teaching Science for grades 6-8. However, for the right candidate, this position may also encompass teaching Language Arts within the same grade levels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, knowledgeable in their subject area(s), and committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for middle school students.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging and rigorous lesson plans aligned with grade-level standards and curriculum frameworks, ensuring student mastery of key concepts and skills in either Science or Language Arts.
Instructional Delivery: Deliver effective and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools.
Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to support student learning and growth.
Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to participate actively in class activities and discussions.
Individualized Support: Provide additional support and interventions to students who require remediation or enrichment, collaborating with colleagues, support staff, and parents/guardians to address individual learning needs effectively.Professional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues within the Science or Language Arts department, as well as interdisciplinary teams, to share best practices, resources, and strategies for improving student achievement and instructional effectiveness.
