- Under general supervision, develops and prepares calculations, specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, construction submittals reviews, model setup and other technical deliverables for various water resource related projects.
- Works closely with team members to gain understanding of project requirements and tasks as well as office procedures, polices, and guidelines.
- Manages time and prioritizes tasks to ensure that project deadlines and needs are being met timely and effectively.
- Constructively contributes to a team environment with an active desire to learn and collaborate.
- Informs project manager of work progress and of any problems and/or questions.
- Sets an example and may coach less experienced colleagues in technical procedures within the company and encourages professional growth in others.
- Requires a BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
- Requires 5+ years' experience in water treatment and/or wastewater treatment, engineering analysis, and design of water distributions and wastewater collection facilities.
- EIT Certification required; Professional Registration as Civil Engineer in California a plus.
- Familiarity and understanding of wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics, and hydraulics.
- Central and Southern California professional Water Resources network is strongly desired.
- Demonstrates experience pertaining to water resource projects such as hydraulic modeling and distribution and collection system design.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other design software.
- Experience with diverse hydraulic modeling software platforms such as Innovyze, BioWin, and Bentley a plus.
