The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, seeks an outstanding scientist to join the Center for Pulmonary and Vascular Biology (PVB).The successful candidate (M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or Ph.D.) will conduct basic and/or translational research in PVB, which is a hub for discovery and innovation in pulmonary and vascular biology.The successful candidate will join a Center with 3 faculty members with national reputations as research scientists.All candidates must have background and experience in basic or translational research (e.g. post-doctoral training in pulmonary biology, vascular biology, cell biology or molecular biology or related fields), a strong publication history, and strong track record of funding. The candidate will be provided with a competitive start-up package (including laboratory space) and compensation/benefits will be provided. The candidate will be expected to direct a successful independent research program, and also effectively collaborate with other scientists in PVB, the Department of Pediatrics, or other relevant departments or centers across the campus.
