About the RoleAbout the RoleIn conjunction with the Payroll Manager and Analyst to complete all processing and pay overs which need to be up to date and paid out by the agreed deadlines.Through demonstrating due diligence in data input, the Payroll Advisor ensures we provide a world class payroll service for our colleagues across the UK and IrelandWhat you'll be Doing:
  • The day-to-day processing and advising of:
  • Maternity, Paternity and Adoption pay
  • Shared Parental Leave
  • Company paid and Statutory sick pay
  • Court Orders and Attachment of Earnings inc. Student loans
  • Starter Checklists and P45's
  • P60's
  • Loans
  • Union and Voluntary deductions
  • Pension
  • TT payments
  • First point of call to deal and resolve queries raised by line managers
  • Input advances into SAP prior to the Supplementary Bacs run
  • Liaison with third parties including: CMS, DWP, HMRC, Irish Revenue
  • Complete statements of earnings
  • Check bank statements for any monies returned
  • Liaise with Central HR team and Employee Relations teams to resolve any payroll issues
  • Payroll account reconciliations?
  • Assist with training of new team members
  • In conjunction with the Payroll Manager, be responsible for the processing of the monthly and 4 weekly payrolls
  • Prepare and process Court Order payments
  • Prepare and process 3rd party payments, including union/voluntary deductions
  • Expenses
  • Liaising with 3rd party expenses team, and loading expenses files into sap
  • Reporting
  • Monitoring areas of concern/trends and addressing these appropriately.
  • Reports as requested by the Business.
  • Running of payroll period reports as per daily/weekly/period report schedule.
Key Measurables
  • Ensure all SLAs are met
  • All payrolls are completed, and all colleagues are paid within given timescales
  • Ensure payroll system is up to date with current legislation including RTI and Pension Auto Enrolment
  • 3rd party payments are paid over within given timescales
  • Liaise with auditors for external and internal audit
  • Produce Daily, Weekly and Monthly set reports

To be successful in this role you will need:Essential:
  • GCSE Maths grade A-C or equivalent qualification
  • High levels of organisation
  • Knowledge of PAYE, NI, Statutory payments (Sick Pay, SMP, SPP)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excel skills an essential - Vlookup, Pivot tables are essential.
  • Be able to meet strict deadlines
Desirable:
  • Previous experience of a payroll or finance environment
  • Understanding of Real Time Information and Pension Auto Enrolment
  • Previous experience with SAP/Success Factors
  • Irish Payroll experience
