The Billing Specialist will be responsible for all billing functions and will report directly to the Billing Lead.What you'll do as a Billing Specialist

Manage customer accounts, send invoices, collect payments, and update accounts to reflect changes
Cross departmental collaboration to determine customer software usage and billing amounts
Work with customers to set up payment plans and ensure bills are paid in a timely manner
Handle Account Receivables management and the process of reaching out to customers for collections
Answer customer inquiries about billings and resolve any errors
Handle billing complaints and discrepancies, issue credit memos when necessary
Maintain new and existing customer contracts and record keeping
Escalate customer issues to the Billing Lead

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree preferred
2-4 years of experience in billing is required
Knowledge of billing specialist responsibilities, billing systems and procedures
Expert level in MS Office
Experience with SaaS or other subscription-based billing preferred
Ability to deal with customers directly
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Nice to haves

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work hard, take direction, and anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance
A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
NetSuite experience is preferred

Experience working with a distributed/remote team
Previous experience working for a US company is a Plus
Previous experience with NetSuite accounting software systems is a Plus
