By winning Eurostars in 2022 we were recognised as the most innovative SME in Europe among 432 finalists.We are an international team with headquarters in Skien, Norway, and offices in Oslo.We are now seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer with expertise in creating world-class user experiences with data-enabled decision support. We already have a strong product in the market with customers and users on three continents. However, as we are growing from a startup to a global SaaS company, we need to further enhance the usability of the platform and refine our UI. Therefore, we are looking for a new team member to help us enable our vision for future data intelligence in the railway industry. In this position you will be working in a small cross-functional product team where you will be collaborating on defining, building and improving solutions, and contributing to a seamless end-to-end user experience.Key tasks & responsibilities
  • Drive the company with forward-thinking, service-minded, and user-centric culture and strategy
  • Play a key role in the strategic, conceptual, and visual phases of the products we build
  • Ideate and implement solutions for new improvements to our product to ensure a seamless user experience
  • Contribute to the organisation in establishing and driving appropriate processes, methodology, and architecture suitable for the problem at hand. Know when to build for learning and when to build for scale
  • Be a part of building and nurturing a strong user experience culture
  • Ensure the user experience meets accessibility standards
  • Contribute to building a platform-wide component library and structure
RequirementsWe are open to various experiences you might have had, whether your focus lies more on the visual side or the performance. However, we see that the best-fitting candidate will love to make solutions that solve real user problems, as well as be able to prioritize their tasks and distribute their own time and resources most efficiently to optimize for impact. You will be a great fit if your experience spans:
  • Writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively keeping the quality of the codebase in check
  • Solid grasp of JavaScript and its various libraries (we use React), and enjoying the benefits of TypeScript - we’re tech-agnostic and we expect you are as well
  • Good understanding of CSS for scale
  • Solid grasp of the UI toolchain - Build, CI/CD, Test (e.g., Webpack/Vite, Github actions, Playwright/Cypress/Selenium)
  • Creating accessible and responsive user interfaces
  • Building and maintaining component libraries
  • Working in a cross-functional and English-speaking environment
  • Having experience visualizing large data sets (geospatial, time-series) and background from a SaaS scale-up would be a big plus.
