- Analytical and data driven leader to join the credit risk management team.
- Develop and lead a team of analysts; specialized in full life-cycle credit risk evaluation. Train, develop talent on the team to ensure career pathing and progression.
- Have technical and analytical acumen to design, develop and implement full end to end solutions for the special assets credit risk domain - including policies, rule and ML/AI model strategies, product requirements, governance structures, documentation, and decision management
- Establish new payment and risk management policies, controls, and operations models in support of new and existing product offerings that enable growth and innovation.
- Direct strategic investments in risk management systems including in-product and back-end controls, rule-based and predictive risk models, and third-party risk assessment and detection tools.
- Manage the high risk deal review desk; complete ownership of deal flow, assessment, approval and workout if needed. Monitor the financial conditions of borrowers on a continuous basis; report to senior management material outcomes and decisions promptly. Provide written analysis and assessment of obligors with additional documentation (bank statements, quarterly financials) when received.
- Partner with our Analytics and Data Science organization to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to manage risk exposure and drive operational efficiency, effectiveness, and scale.
- Demonstrate strategic and tactical thinking to make the right tradeoffs that balance the portfolio risk and broader organizational goals. Create reporting reflecting the tradeoffs and portfolio performance. Ongoing reporting of portfolio performance is required.
- Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes. Be capable of working closely with and influencing senior business and risk management leaders when creating, revising or implementing workout strategies.
- Build strong relationships and work extensively with the leadership team and partners to ensure business objectives are met while effectively managing objectives centered around controls, risk management, compliance and operational integrity.
- 8+ years experience and possess domain knowledge in credit risk strategy. Familiarity with typical risk strategies (traditional and non-traditional credit products), credit card authorization data and systems is highly valuable.
- 5+ years experience in people leadership; driving team goals that are aligned with the broader organization. Effective communication and coaching skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar field.
- Strong data analysis skills with knowledge of predictive modeling.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to prioritize, implement and optimize risk mitigation policies and controls.
- Excellent organizational skills - must possess ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in high risk deal review, special assets or work-out.
- Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority through strong communication skills.
