- You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
- You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
- You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
- You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
- You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
- 2 year or Associated Degree (Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology)
- ARRT Certification
- Florida license to practice medical imaging
- 1 year hospital based experience preferred
- Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
