Additionally, experience with machinery like CNC machines, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment is highly valuedJob DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveThe Tool & Die Maker position is responsible for building and repair of gauges, fixtures, tooling and dies; assembly and testing of complex tooling and dies in production departments.Essential Functions·Use blueprints, sketches, models, or provided specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies and assemblies.·Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, by utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and dial indicators.·Utilize machining equipment and hand tools to file, grind, adjust, fit and assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies, gauges, and tooling.·Conduct testing of completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.Work EnvironmentThe environment will have moderate exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and or loud noises.
