It is headquartered and listed in Australian stock exchange and employs nearly 15000 staff in over 20 countries is the world's largest asset manager in infrastructure and Australia's top ranked mergers and acquisitions adviser with almost half a trillion dollars in assets under management.About the roleBecause of their immense growth in their Data Engineering portfolio, an exciting opportunity has come up in one of their offices in Sydney. You will be joining their elite engineering team and playing a key role in driving continuous improvement in data engineering practices and technology, working closely with various stakeholders (business and technical) to help execute their data strategy as they build the innovative and lead edge new Data Platform.Skill SetsYou need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:

Extensive experience working as a data engineer across building data lakes, data pipelines, big data solutions and data warehousing solutions.
The ability to design big data solutions from scratch
Working experience in Python and SQL
Working experience of AWS Redshift.
Experience with Dockers and kubernetes
Experience with AWS including any or all of EC2, S3, IAM, EKS and RDS
Comfortable with changing priorities and ambiguous requirements
Good understanding of Data Warehousing/ETL concepts
Experience with CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

Work as a subject matter expert and lead the design and development of data engineering solutions.
Work closely with various stakeholders of various business units to service their requirements and execute on their data strategies.
Assisting with technical evaluation of requirements from users, product owners, and stakeholders
End-to-end ownership for solution design, developing, deploying and supporting the data engineering solutions.
Manage and mentor data engineers and drive a strong engineering mindset within the team
Collaborating and communicating with key business SME's, product owners, business analysts and other key stakeholders to define and create solutions
