(What you will do)
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive network infrastructure strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Network Design and Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures to meet current and future business needs.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize network performance, capacity, and efficiency through monitoring, analysis, and implementation of best practices.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, select, and procure network hardware, software, and services.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the network infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal resource allocation.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure network infrastructure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, as well as mitigation of security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Lead and or participate in incident response team(s) during events that impact business operations.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
(What to bring)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, and 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Expertise in network design, implementation, and administration, including LAN/WAN, Cloud Connectivity, Cloud Networking, and wireless technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
- Experience with network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experienced in successfully managing complex network infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology or related field, a plus
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience in a media networking environment utilizing technologies such as multicast, SMPTE 2110
