General Position Summary:The Marketing Director will be responsible for driving sales by developing and leading a cohesive marketing strategy to include all of the branding, advertising and communications efforts for Taste of Belgium. She/he will help “tell the story” of the unique value that TOB brings to its guests through the innovative culinary experienceAs such, the Marketing Director will act as the Creative Director for the department, ensuring the creative content & marketing materials produced are consistent with the brand strategy, brand guidelines, and message strategy. Additionally, the Marketing Director's responsibilities will include creating compelling content that drives awareness and measurable interaction and improves the overall traffic-driving efforts via a multi-channel plan.This is a high energy, fast paced position that requires strong project management skills, the ability to keep multiple projects on track and on budget, sound decision making and has the ability to multi-task. This person should be detail oriented and have excellent communications skills and account management experience. This person should also be creative and feel comfortable brainstorming and working in an environment that fosters independent thought and team collaboration.The Marketing Director will manage the day-to-day performance of the marketing team. As such, the position requires someone with a strong “people first”, servant-leader approach. This person must demonstrate a genuine desire to not only work closely with a team, but proactively develop them as professionals and push them creatively. Fostering a collaborative, creative, fun and dynamic work environment is a must. This person must be passionate about what they do and the people they work with.The Marketing Director will ensure that Marketing is proactively helping grow TOB and impacting growth goals. This person will work in a cross-functional role collaborating with a myriad of stakeholders, specifically acting as the day-to-day lead contact for the marketing organization. As such, this person must be able to demonstrate professionalism, patience, and perseverance while maintaining a positive attitude.Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:· Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy, including brand positioning, brand awareness, advertising campaigns, collateral & print, and events in collaboration with operations.· Develop and lead the overall digital marketing strategy and plan. Oversee plan implementation and the measurement of digital results. Digital marketing includes but is not limited to: ecommerce, website design, online content, search engine marketing, email marketing, social media, mobile, etc.· Act as the Creative Director for the department to ensure that the creative content & marketing materials produced are consistent with the brand strategy, guidelines and messaging and that internal and external communications support the brand.· Lead Bistro openings and develop opening marketing plans.· Oversee marketing agency relationships.· Serve as strategic resource for leadership team, providing counsel on marketing and communication needs.· Oversee the development of location specific marketing plans to enhance local presence including: community outreach, local events, etc.· Manage and maintain the marketing budget· Manage the day-to-day performance of the marketing team.· Measure effectiveness of the marketing activities.· Create a high performing team that consistently exceeds the expectations of employees, guests, and stakeholders.· Provides business and community leadership that advances the company mission. Identifies and develops strategic business alliances to advance long-term goals.Specific Job Skills/Requirements:· Innovative & creative thinker with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action-oriented plans· Ability to be both highly strategic and distill data into meaningful recommendations and deliverables.· Strong analytical skills. Expertise in determining key KPIs and in managing programs to achieve expansion of key metrics.· Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.· Highly organized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and demands.· Ability to make sound decisions in a rapid pace and changing environment.· Must enjoy the challenge of working with an entrepreneurial & non-traditional organization.· Self-starter, who conveys a sense of urgency, drives issues to closure and knows how to execute and influence others to do so.Education and/or Experience:· 5 - 8 years of marketing/advertising experience with a focus on developing and executing marketing strategies, including branding, digital and print advertising, search engine marketing, email marketing, website design and social media marketing.· 2 - 5 years working with marketing technology including, but not limited to, marketing automation, lead generation, content management and marketing resource management applications.· 1 - 3 years of experience in full-service agency or client side leading Marketing Communication's programs.· 1 - 3 years in a management role leading marketing | project manager professionals.· Previous experience working with a retail or restaurant organization is a plus.· Bachelor's Degree, marketing, business or related field. MBA preferred.** At TOB, employees have the flexibility to work remotely when necessary. However, this position is primarily expected to be based in the Cincinnati, OH area, as numerous weekly meetings are conducted in person at the office.Flexible work from home options available.
