- Ability to self-direct work and provide hands-on instructional guidance to junior team members, overseeing their work efforts.
- Adopting new processes or workflow modifications as introduced to ensure consistent and repeatable processes are used across regions.
- Completing RFPs, evaluating and using any necessary syndicated research to help build rationale for the recommended media strategies.
- Cultivating an understanding of how all digital channels work together to deliver a holistic media plan, including paid search and social.
- Developing and helping deliver media recommendations to clients.
- Ensuring high levels of campaign performance, client satisfaction, and retention are delivered while working hand-in-hand with managers and client service team members.
- Executing media buys for one and/or multiple media channels – e.g., programmatic, content syndication, social and search.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and the latest products and solutions.
- Monitoring and optimizing paid performance to meet business objectives.
- Overseeing campaign pacing and bid adjustments across various platforms - Paid Search (Google, Bing, Baidu), Social (LinkedIn, Reddit, Facebook, etc.) and programmatic, as examples.
- Presenting media recommendations and participating in client-facing activities as needed.
- Providing Sr. Media Planner with reporting insights for client bi-weekly, monthly, and QBRs.
- Providing mentoring and guidance to juniors and peers and working alongside an internal cross-functional team of campaign ads ops specialists, campaign performance analysts, and search and social specialists.
- Taking ownership of researching all relevant information required for any campaign to understand the product/ service/ promotional offering you are marketing.
- Working with partial guidance, taking full ownership of your projects, dealing proactively with queries without delay to timelines, presenting solutions and adding value at all levels, seeking advice from your line manager where necessary.
- 3+ years of experience in digital media planning and buying.
- A positive and can-do attitude keeping all campaign stakeholders updated with performance.
- A true thirst to understand technology and strategy, while excelling in data quantifying.
- Ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a cross functional team environment.
- Experience with in-platform executions and knowledge of operations.
- Professional and advanced skills in Excel.
- Proven communication skills, particularly in a client facing matter.
- Strong issue resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding and analysis of data and media metrics.
- Hands on experience with paid social (LinkedIn, Meta) and display (DSP, DV360/Google)
- DSP experience.
- LinkedIn certification.
- Google AdWords Certification.
- Google Analytics Certification.
