The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and heavy equipment maintenance and repair. They will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment, including Caterpillar and other diesel-powered equipment, bulldozers, skid steers, and other paving and excavation equipment.Position Overview: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing regular maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, conducting inspections and testing to ensure compliance, and troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections and servicing of heavy equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
Test and check for compliance with safety regulations
Repair and maintain diesel engines
Repair and maintain other heavy equipment parts and components
Conduct upgrades and modifications as required
Order new parts and supplies for repairs as needed
Keep records of maintenance and repair work
Qualifications:
3+ years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience
Experience with Caterpillar and other diesel equipment
