Job Title: Route SupervisorLocation: Las Vegas, NVPosition Type: Full-Time, Night Shift (Some weekends required)Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Route Supervisor to oversee our daily and nightly service delivery, ensuring that all operations are executed safely, on time, and cost-effectively. The Route Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service, adhering to company practices, procedures, and applicable regulations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise drivers, ensuring that all daily operations run smoothly. This includes greeting drivers, overseeing pre and post-trip inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The Route Supervisor will enforce company policies and ensure that all team members understand and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Conduct route observations, identify training needs, and engage in performance evaluations. The Route Supervisor will also be involved in the disciplinary process and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles.
  • Respond promptly to dispatch calls, manage customer issues, and ensure that all service requirements are communicated clearly to drivers.
  • The Route Supervisor will also occasionally drive and assist on routes to cover shortages and support drivers behind schedule.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in transportation management, logistics, or related fields. An Associate's Degree or extensive experience in similar roles is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI, and other relevant regulations.
  • Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, and be available to address operational issues by phone at all times.
Special Considerations:
  • This role requires physical work, including driving and working outside for most of the workday. The Route Supervisor may be exposed to various environmental conditions and occupational risks.
