We are looking for new colleagues to join the ABB Operations Center Europe, with offices in Ostrava and Pilsen, who will help us with the development of SW products for huge naval ships or safety management on oil platforms. Or would you rather deal with data processing from industrial plants? We have this and more on our backlog. SW projects you can encounter with us: • SW products for optimization of sea ship routes • SW products for container transshipment points in ports or railways • SW products for safety management on oil rigs • Collection of data from industrial plants and their subsequent analysis and processing In parallel, we work on about 60 different projects throughout the year, so if none of this is interesting, there's no need to despair, because we have a lot more in the backlog. The layout of our projects is about 60-70% web projects (.NET Core 3+, Angular, React, Vue, Blazor, MVC), 20% desktop projects (primarily WPF), the rest is mobile application development (native development), ML, reporting, etc. C# is the main BE programming language everywhere. Of course, the use of modern CI/CD practices for deployment – typically to the MS Azure environment – is a matter of course. Wherever it's convenient, we use containerized docker solutions. Work on international SW development projects in smaller teams (2-5 people)
We follow agile approaches in development
Development in the range of at least 4 hours/day (if this setting does not suit you, I am open to agreement)

Your background

Secondary school/university education
Good knowledge of English (at least level B1+)
Experience with .NET development in C# and object-oriented design with respect to design patterns
Experience with databases, e.g. MS SQL
Desire to further educate oneself and work in a team and independently
