We are looking for a technical individual to join the USANA’s Accounting team as the SEC reporting and technical accounting manager. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing financial periodic reports and the annual proxy statement required by the SEC. This position is also responsible for the initial research and documentation of the technical standards applicable to the Company’s financial accounting, reporting, and disclosure obligations.What You Will Do as USANA’s SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager
  • Manage the process for drafting SEC financial periodic reports including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 11-K, and manage the process for drafting the annual proxy statement (Schedule 14A)
  • Oversee completion of the financial disclosure checklist to ensure all applicable SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements are met
  • Maintain quarterly and annual reporting timelines and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones to ensure filing deadlines are met
  • Research, analyze, and document complex accounting transactions related to equity, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, leases, goodwill, intangibles, business combinations, and derivative financial instruments
  • Supervise and support employees by performing periodic reviews and supporting their professional development
Background and Skills You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related degree required
  • CPA certification required
  • SEC Reporting experience required
  • SOX compliance experience preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Excel skills including data analysis, modeling, and graphical presentation
  • International accounting experience preferred
