Medical Scientific Advisor - Oncology

• Drive the localisation of the global medical and brand strategy, by using local field insights and partnering with both local cross-functional teams and regional teams.
• Use cross-functional knowledge to create medical multichannel campaigns: including content development, multichannel strategy and the customer journey
• Drive a strategic partnership with local cross-functional teams.
• Align evidence generation with medical and brand strategy; including ensuring proper alignment for defining the scope of potential Observational Studies (OS) and investigator-initiated research (IIR).
• Data collection, analysis and interpretation
• Support clinical trial teams with feasibility & training of clinical trial team.
• Manage study-related medical activities for Interventional Post-Approval Trials (IPAT), Observational Studies (OS) and Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) as locally required.
• Review and interpret analytics and relevant field insights to optimise and manage medical content and adapt the evidence generation plan(e.g. in National Advisory boards).
• Foster Medical Affairs relationships with Thought Leaders and external stakeholder groups e.g. healthcare organisations, medical societies, research groups, and patient groups, government/ regulatory institutions.
• Report external stakeholder engagement activities in Veeva Medical CRM.

• Provide scientific contributions to the development and implementation of Bayer-organised national, regional and local medical educational programs (e.g. Continuing Medical Education programs).

• Provide medical support on internal projects e.g. pre-launch activities, reimbursement processes, dossier development, commercial campaigns etc.
• Align with internal functions to review Summary of Product Characteristics responsibilities including translations and updates.
• Ensure that Bayer's medical activities are in line with relevant guidelines, regulations and legislations.
• Provide scientific education and training to cross-functional partners (e.g. Sales and Marketing) on product data, therapeutic area knowledge, and local clinical operations and clinical development studies.
• Review and approve scientifically all therapeutic area/product-related materials, external communications and advising cross-functionally using medical/scientific expertise.

• Document and process medical Information queries in alignment with local Medical Information handling procedures

• Possession of scientific/ medical background.
• Qualified Physician / Pharmacist / Biologist / high level of natural science education.
• Possesses clinical work experience treating patients.
• Experience of being a Medical/Scientific Advisor in industry or other Medical Department roles.
• Strong skills in managing stakeholders and experience in building networks.
• Business Acumen displaying the ability to operate cross-functionally, driving organizational growth, and understanding of marketing/sales functions in the pharma industry.
• Experience contributing to an organization's strategic endeavours, displaying industry/market knowledge
