Job Description:NOV Fiberglass Systems provides service after the sale which is extremely important in retaining our customers. Our field service department is highly respected in our industry by our customers and our competitor's customers. Our service has been stated as second to none.Seeking an individual who is willing to travel weekly and work in a fast paced fiberglass construction environment. The Field Technician travels extensively and completes onsite repairs or installations of fiberglass components. This individual should be prepared to work with a Field Service crew and follow instructions from Supervisors.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows all PPE requirements guidelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Understands customer satisfaction and overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Individual who is capable of assisting on fiberglass C&I projects.
  • Install and/or repair finished product on customer sites.
  • Able to perform basic lamination skills and take direction from Supervisors and other techs.
  • Able to work in EXCEL for reports. Able to take initiative for expenses accrued during travel and reporting weekly.
  • Ability to utilize CONCUR for travel arrangements and expense reporting.
  • Able to complete tasks alone or with a group of technicians.
  • Utilize safe work habits.
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be able to travel on a weekly basis and work overtime as required.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and other necessary applications.
  • Must possess basic math skills, and be able to read a tape measure.
  • Training for B31.3 fiberglass lamination certification.
  • Basic knowledge of all tools and materials used is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of tools, materials, and lamination skills is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.
  • Ability to read and understand bid documents, drawings, and perform take offs as required.
  • Willing and able to conduct Site visits if required during the project.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and fresh air mask as needed.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
