Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.The RoleVeev's Product Engineering team is looking for a dynamic hands-on project manager who will lead multiple tasks and projects within the realm of home-related products and systems. If you are a “doer” with a strong execution attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional hardware solutions, we want you to join our team.As the Engineering Project Manager - Home Components, you will be responsible for the execution of various tasks and projects, on time, guaranteeing all involved individuals are accountable and delivering per scope & plan. You will be focused on projects such as the development of systems and components from the field of home products, mechanical, and structural systems. Whether it is a new innovative door, window or even a new roof design or a manufacturing supporting jig that needs a rapid scope and development, you will be making a direct impact towards the success of Veev's homes.You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of multiple diverse projects from conception to completion, meeting quality, budget, and timeline objectives.Responsibilities
  • Ability to lead and manage in excellence varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with broad fields of Residential home engineering and the associated systems/ materials.
  • Proven experience owning engineering projects, from design to implementation, including the evaluation of new ideas. (Presenting ROI/Effort)
  • Strong leader with the ability to hold teams accountable to execute on existing projects.
  • Problem solver, getting things done.
  • Experienced in leading hardware development initiatives, from conceptualization to prototyping and final production, ensuring adherence to project requirements and technical specifications, projects timeline, and scope - having all the relevant content needed for production.
  • Drive Process improvements, Identifying where overdoing is for no reason.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ability to complete cost estimates and project schedules as well as to ensure timeliness in the completion of projects of high quality within budget.
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally, providing day-to-day contact and progress support.
  • Ability to problem solve using a combination of standard methodologies, processes and procedures acquired and/or developed in previous assignments or best practices.
  • Participates in planning and/or preparation of structural, architectural and mechanical specs for internal validations to achieve prescribed objectives and results.
  • Ability to perform commercial and technical bid analysis and make purchase and sourcing recommendations.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years' work-related experience preferably in the residential manufacturing sector (MEP systems , Building supplies, Home finished goods, etc.)
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical matters.
  • Strong attention to schedules and budgetary guidelines, with proven ability to manage those using the relevant tools ( Gantt, ROI calculations, etc.)
  • Proven success working with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at conveying technical information to team members, peers, vendors, and partners.
  • A leader with strong communication skills & a team -player.
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternative ideas and be able to bring the best idea forward.
  • Proficient PC skills including CAD/CAM softwares (SolidWorks, etc), and proven hands on experience are a must.
  • Additional skills such as: Using Autodesk BIM environment, testing softwares, Arena PLM, NetSuite, etc, are a plus.
