The Medical Social Worker provides psychosocial support for patients, collaboratively working toward program objectives of achieving the best possible quality of life for patient and family.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.Preferred/Optional: Master’s degree in social work.EXPERIENCEMinimum Required: Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and communication skills.Preferred/Optional: Three years’ experience working as a Social Worker working with a targetpopulation, community health setting or in a healthcare facility working with children and adults.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.Minimum Required: Current Social Worker license to practice without restriction in Wisconsin. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required.
