- Plan, layout, install, program, and troubleshoot electrical controls and equipment, including PLC's, Motion Control Devices, Vision Systems, VFD's, Servos, and HMI's.
- Must be able to work from complicated drawings, specifications, or wiring diagrams and have hands on knowledge of electrical systems and electronics.
- Create specifications for electrical systems and wiring diagrams for associated automation controls systems and equipment.
- Must be able to work without drawings and create such drawings when necessary.
- Support and troubleshoot equipment currently used within the facility.
- Observes, corrects, and reports any issues with production and facility equipment
- Assists and executes the performance of Preventative Maintenance of facility infrastructure.
- Works safely with chemicals, tools, and materials.
- Takes initiative, and works independently on solving problems
- Works closely with Production, Administration and Engineering teams, responds to spills, breakdowns, extraction calls, and environmental issues.
- Works with team to install, upgrade, or make improvements to equipment and automation processes.
- Takes initiative within proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals
- Complies with all safety practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities
- Assists in writing safety procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent and relevant training / certification within Skilled trades and Equipment Maintenance
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a maintenance electrician in manufacturing environment and must have proficiency with PLC and other electronics equipment.
- OSHA certifications related to man-lift / scissor lift safety are a plus
- Strong math and problem-solving skills are a MUST
- Basic use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
- Strong attention to detail is mandatory

- Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- Ability to focus (ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
- Majority of the work is performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise level and varying temperature control
- Required to use personal protective equipment including slip and spill resistant shoes as well as protective eyewear when in production areas
