- Manage, oversee, and coordinate many aspects for small to medium projects of moderate complexity from award through completion of project, including overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and as required by the contract
- Translate a variety of customer needs into detailed proposals and project plans to meet customer requirements
- Review and approve estimated costs prior to bid
- Provides technical assistance to sales force as and when required
- Project design engineering, supervision of installation labor and subcontractors
- Prepare project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices, and assist with collection efforts on projects
- Effectively communicate project requirements to project teams and wider organization as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of job status, job changes, material flow, and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports
- Act as our customer's best service provider at all times, thereby ensuring VIRSIG is the customer's first choice for service
- Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines
- Proactively communicate project schedules, project change proposals, changes orders, and related project activities on a regular basis with customers and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of project within budget and schedule
- Establish project milestones and analyze costs; review actual vs estimated job costs and provide timely and accurate project cost reports
- Identify reasons for low job site productivity and determine impact on the project; adjust or correct the project plan and/or project cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals
- Manage the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise
- Minimum 3 years previous relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience; Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
- Previous project supervisory experience preferred
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required (OSHA 30)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ConnectWise, G-Suite
- Strong understanding of field services, installation, and preventive maintenance services preferred
- Strongly self-motivated and directed with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Ability to support on-call team 24/7 when and as required
- This is an office-based position (hybrid) with regular visits to work sites in the field. Some work-related travel may be required.
