- Inspect production parts by conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Discuss inspection results with the production team and communicate required adjustments or re-work to supervisor.
- Ability to follow instructions as delivered by supervisor and scheduler, work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, and locations of surfaces.
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- MIG weld mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications.
- Set up welding cells for serial production runs.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Follow all company safety rules, policies and quality standards.
- Maintains equipment by completing daily and weekly preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Minimum 5 years Welding Experience.
- Experience with mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel required.
- Experience with MIG welding.
- Read and interpret welding symbols.
- Basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Mechanical Assembly understanding.
- Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
- Understanding of conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, functional and technical skills, controls and instrumentation, supply management, tooling, inventory control, judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goal.
- Requires Safe Work Habits.
- Maintain good attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
- MIG and TIG certifications.
- Normal work hours (4 - 10 hour days - Days may vary Mon - Fri).
- 1st Shift - 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Remain standing on feet for long periods of time.
