- The IT Business Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements.
- This position evaluates requests to determine feasibility, researches and identifies options, and recommends solutions that best serve business needs.
- The Business Analyst also presents information and tracks and responds to questions related to business standards.
- In addition, this position performs key administrative duties while searching for continuous improvement potential. The IT Business Analyst serves as the primary interface between NetOps and our peer teams within IT.
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
- 2+ years of business analysis experience with exposure to various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.)
- Proven track record of taking initiative and driving a plan effectively
- Ability to effectively manage time and multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively across various audiences including IT teams, business teams and vendors.
- Ability to lead meetings such as Daily Stand-up, Retros, and issue analysis calls
- Display leadership and team centric skills
- Display strong problem solving and IT technical skills
- Excellent at building and maintaining relationships across IT and business partners
- Must have a professional attitude, a strong desire and ability to take ownership, the ability to provide high quality customer service, and a willingness to expend additional effort when necessary or required
- Secure in independent judgment and autonomous decision making
- Experience preparing and delivering informal and formal presentations to own team, department, other IT teams, senior leadership, and business partners
- Ability to judge between what is requested and what is feasible given the parameters of the technology and the project timeline
- Experience assisting with the development of standards, processes, and procedures for the department
- Ability to provide continuous improvements for applications, processes, and team
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Previous Network Operations/Network Engineering experience is a plus
- Experience in project management tools such as MS Project, MS Teams, PPT, Excel
- Experience in large-scale enterprise applications and processes is preferred
- Experience creating detailed reporting and dashboards within ServiceNow and/or Jira is preferred
