- Performing routine and non-routine reactor testing. Communicating results with the program sponsors.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, evaluating, and maintaining the chemical reactors, analytical instruments, laboratory equipment.
- Identifying and implementing improvement plans for existing laboratory processes.
- Completing administrative duties and documentation, including SCAT log books, rig flow schematics, electrical panel drawings, and instrument manuals.
- Following safety procedures and exhibiting safety practice at work.
- Performing other laboratory duties as assigned.
- BS degree with 2-3 years working experience in science with strong mechanical aptitude or BS degree with 2-3 years working experience in engineering with analytical skills. Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of above 7 years direct experience in hands-on chemical laboratory.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, fabricating, constructing, testing, plumbing and validating custom lab equipment and hardware.
- Proficiency in metal and composite part fabrication, with working experience and knowledge AC/DC electrical and circuit diagnostics.
- Computer software skills on Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Knowledge on any programming language is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creativity in solving technical problems.
- Ability to work independently as well as to work in a team.
- Good time management skills with the ability to multitask.
