Weavr is still small enough to feel tight-knit but operates and communicates at the level of a more mature organisation.This role & opportunityThe Regulatory Compliance Manager will be a key member of our Compliance team, reporting directly into our Head of Compliance and MLRO (Malta) and participating with the wider business in the UK and EU.You will possess a strong working knowledge of FCA and EU regulations, especially applicable to risk, compliance monitoring, policy, regulatory reporting and management information related conduct knowledge. You will also have the balanced communication style required to support and work with department heads and management to ensure Weavr remains compliant.We are looking for a sharp, confident, commercially minded individual, who can quickly identify risks and is happy to roll their sleeves up to ensure diligence, consistently lending your hand to maintaining a robust and proportionate control framework.Responsibilities:Preparation and review of Compliance management information, reports & related materialsConducting compliance monitoring / internal auditing reviews of business activities, report and manage remediationsParticipating in specific committees to document the context and key actions and ensure follow-up by the business; offering your own advice and suggestions to influence outcomes as appropriateMaintaining and improving compliance policies and procedures that align with EU & UK best practice and maintain all team members engage with said policies well;Interpreting and educating regulatory requirements to other key team members across the company to ensure adherence and quality process developmentMaintaining the risk registry and associated risk assessments in line with company policy and proceduresConducting gap analysis' between Weavr's current processes and better practicesLeading efforts to assess the compliance of third- party entities, evaluating their practices against established standards and contractual obligationsDeputising for the Head of Compliance as requiredAbout YouManagement experience within the the banking industry (EMI, regulated fintech, banks or Regulator)5 years + experience working within a similar roleProficient in the English language (other languages welcome also)Demonstrable track-record of working within regulatory regimes including coverage of risk and associated compliance frameworks and generating accurate regulatory reportsExperience in creating, writing and managing the ownership of the policies and procedures frameworkMatrix management and effective influencer across all levels and business areasFamiliar with working in pressurised and high volume environmentsThe ability to work with your own initiative; andA desire keep pace with changes to legislation, regulations and market practice and responding to regulatory consultationsWhat's in it for youA good remuneration package shall be provided to the candidate with the right skillset.
