We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.As a Tax Manager, you’ll help our clients with corporate and personal tax planning so they can benefit from tax savings and incentives. Here’s some of what you’ll get to do:
- Coaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance, helping them walk in clients' shoes by discussing tax planning options
- Establish deep trusting relationships with clients as you advise them on complex tax matters
- Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, provisions, estate and trust planning, as well as manage T1, T2 and T3 returns
- Proactively resolve tax related issues with clients, tax authorities and other team members
- Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services
You meet with the CFO of an aquaculture client and , the Assurance Partner, discussing the latest developments in high tech fisheries equipment and how it impacts their growth ambitions. You go for a coffee with new colleague, Winnie, mentoring her and sharing your experiences on your unique CPA journey, as she begins her very own. When you get a text from the owner of a local restaurant chain, you call Tax Partner, , and set up a time for all of you to meet at the office tomorrow. And then you're ready to join your colleagues in the lunch room as you recap the events of the weekend.Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Tax Manager? Like the colour purple? Great. - You’re enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, or have a Masters of Taxation degree
- You’ve developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized new approaches and tax solutions for clients as part of your commitment to providing exceptional client service
- You have solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance
- You’ve helped mentor and develop others
