This is a Sydney based permanent role, reporting to the SHEQ Manager.What do we offer you?A market based salary depending on your experience and knowledgeAn attractive bonus schemeGrowth opportunitiesThe chance to make a differenceGenerous benefitsWhat do we expect of you?A tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Environment or Engineering or related fieldProven experience in a similar role, particularly in an MHF environmentA solid understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to an MHF environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat does your week look like?Conduct regular SHE site walk around and inspections at the terminal to ensure company and regulatory compliance in operations and permit workBe aware of the Vopak SHE standards, promote and ensure local Procedures compliance with Vopak and industry standardsParticipate in Hazop, Risk Assessment and other hazard identification processesReview and approve permit to work related safety documentation to efficiently facilitate contractor works within the terminalFacilitate WHSE Committee meetingsParticipate in the planning and execution of monthly SHEQ activities (e.g. Emergency Exercises) with the Operations Manager, Operations team and external participantsMaintain/update safety databases, e.g., Risk RegisterReport immediately all incidents that have direct/indirect impact on the Safety, Health andEnvironmental performance; and assist Terminal operations with any subsequent investigations as per the Vopak Incident reporting and investigation Standard and the local incident investigation requirements and record/ communicate the outcomes with appropriate department(s);Assist in injury management and return-to-workRepresent the Company in dealings with SafeWork NSW and NSW EPA in areas of SHEQ and Compliance issuesGenerate and coordinate any local, Divisional or regulatory SHEQ reporting requirements for Sydney TerminalMake recommendations for continuous improvements that will result in the elimination of Safety, Health and Environmental incidents
