Babcock New Zealand is looking for a Principal Engineering Technician (Supportability) (Maintenance) to join the Devonport based team!About the roleReporting to the Maintenance Development Manager, the Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of maintenance tasks by identifying, planning, and coordinating all necessary activities within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Key responsibilities will include:Identify DLM maintenance tasks within the CMMS.Transfer identified tasks to the appropriate work packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Manage rotatable equipment, maintaining up-to-date records of their current location in the CMMS.Collect objective quality evidence throughout the maintenance period to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Close maintenance tasks and associated work packages upon completion, verifying the collection of necessary quality evidence.About youYou have proven experience in maintenance planning or similar within an industry setting. A technical vocational qualification, such as a certificate, diploma or degree, is required. Essential skills and competencies include previous experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), strong attention to detail and organisational skills, mentoring junior team members, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), commitment to implementing continuous improvement activities, and the ability to use initiative and effectively prioritize workload. Desirable experience includes familiarity with the NZ Navy Computerized MMS.Your future at Babcock - what we offer you
