Mechanical Maintenance Tech Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring a Maintenance Tech for a large, established food manufacturer located in Ferndale, MI. The Maintenance Tech will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time. This position will perform mainly mechanical duties, with some electrical and pipefitting duties. These may involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts. This position will entail standing for long periods of time during shift. *Candidates MUST have their own tools* Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation:
$20.00-25.00 per hour, based on experience

Available shifts:
2nd shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm
3rd shift – 10:00pm – 6:30am
Overtime is available either before your shift begins or after the shift ends, as needed.
Must be available on Sundays if needed
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
Repair all production equipment as needed
Update equipment, machinery, and tools as needed
Comply with GMP, safety, OSHA, and audit standards
Preferred Qualifications of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
2+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Previous mechanical or machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or production
Proven track record of effective problem-solving
Strong communication skills
